trying to raise reasonable doubt by jose baez, the lead attorney for casey anthony. he offered up a big poster board showing all of the people who testified they smelled decomposition in the drunk. buff next to that he put up ten more photos of people right around her car who never smelled anything. from the lady who ran the amscott check cashing place who first reported that the car was abandoned there and got the tow truck to come out and get it. to the cops that responded to the anthony home on the night of july 16 when there was so many police on the scene and cindy anthony was calling 911 three times. she, too, saying that it felt like a damn dead body has been in the car. mason, the second defense attorney for casey anthony is going to finish the defense's closing argument after we have our lunch break. it will probably be an hour-long lunch break. the judge is giving each side four hours to make the closing arguments. this is critical at the closing argument, especially for jose baez. biggest trial of his life, of his career. he is getting to get the jury to think maybe george an

in the big picture. when you start going to one extreme or the other, you're not going to get anything done. everybody's egos are going to get hurt constantly. so, you know, there are so many different ways that they look at things. for instance, holistically, people that have been paying into social security have basically been paying with ious and stuff like that for a very long time. they are saying everybody has to be on the table. we have been on the table for the longest of time, giving i'll use. they actually said, ok. it is like looking at soldiers in iraq and saying, well, you have to put yourself on the table. that is the way to look at some of these things. i think that, if we get more congressmen -- it is difficult when they are being paid by big business and stuff. they say extreme things so that they know big brother is noticing that they are putting their plugs in for them. winning campaign financing to keep the map the point -- we need campaign financing to keep them at the point where they can look at things holistically. host: thank you for weighing in. we will talk about

't. i wrote that this week monday. i don't see the impetus. i see the threat of a big problem. but i do not see the parties moving beyond their entrenched positions. in fact, i would characterize this week as a week of entrenchment and deepening the difference. if you want to use a military metaphor, digging trenches deeper. the president's press conference was about establishing the democratic point of view and pushing it out. there was a bit of jawboning with republicans that did not go over well. you cannot create an atmosphere for creating a deal by suggesting your opposition party leaders in congress are less disciplined than 10 and 13-year- old. things are in a much tougher position and i do not see the end game. >> i would agree on the point that you throw like a girl is not the way to get people to come to your side. nor is it a 21st century thing to say. i think these guys are stumbling and bumbling. it reminds me of "thelma and louise." these guys are screaming at each other and don't even know the cliff is there and to the extent they do, they have forgotten about it. if ther
